Digital Economy Promotion Agency and SME Development Bank launch “SMART SMEs Single Account 4.0” campaign

Thursday 16 March 2017 Digital Economy Promotion Agency and SME Development Bank launched “SMART SMEs Single Account 4.0” campaign as the source of business funding in a bid to support local entrepreneurs and stimulate the country’s investment and economy.

Dr. Nuttapon Nimmanphatcharin, director of Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA), Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, said DEPA has operated in accordance with the government’s Thailand 4.0 and Digital Economy policy and initiated a project to encourage entrepreneurs to access to finance. DEPA has joined force with financial institutions including SME Development Bank and Thai Credit Guarantee Corporation (TCG) to promote and support source of funds for entrepreneurs who apply technology to their business management and software and digital content entrepreneurs to help them strengthen their businesses and further develop new innovations or services to increase the country’s economic value.

Phuket governor Chokchai Dejamornthan and Mr. Mongkon Leelatham, managing director of SME Development Bank, jointly presided over the opening ceremony. DEPA has seen potential of Phuket which is a tourism destination abundant with beautiful beaches and long-lasting culture as well as unique identity. The agency is willing to provide consultation for interested entrepreneurs.

In addition, it had a talk on “Benefits of Tax Incentives for New Startup and Individual Business Promotion to Juristic Person” attended by representatives of 5 institutes including:
1. Provincial Commerce Office (Department of Business Development)
2. Provincial Revenue Office
3. Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA)
4. Industrial Promotion Center
5. SME Development Bank providing knowledge for entrepreneurs.
